The 12 Gins of Christmas
The countdown is really on now. I hope all you gin fans and fanatics are getting very festive and feeling very happy. The Gin Blogger's household is truly getting into the spirit of things and one of my children is the original Mr. Christmas!

I can only imagine that you are all enjoying the contemplation and purchase of many bottles of delicious gin and gin goodies. Perfect presents for under the tree and stockings, as well as the odd bottle to crack open before the big day!
Anyway, I hope you enjoy my Christmas Countdown. I would like to stress that these are my recommended gins at the time of writing. This can change as many new gins are constantly coming to market. I hope you get the chance to try some of them over the festive period.
My gin of choice coming in at number 12 is the Botanist from Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay. They use a fairly standard range of botanicals and add to these by passing the vapour through another twenty-two more delicate island botanicals. The result not surprisingly, is a complex floral gin, with notes of soft fruits, heavy blossom, chamomile, sage and raspberry leaf to name but a few. Truly a woodland walk on Islay.
